[seminar] NVH Testing in the era of electric vehicles

[Seminar] NVH Testing in the era of electric vehicles

22/01/2024

Compared to internal combustion engines, other noises are more dominant in electric vehicles and especially at lower speed and frequencies. Additionally, new secondary sources such as the battery cooling system or gears are making the noise spectrum more complex. Ensuring acoustic comfort in an electric vehicle means tackling a host of new phenomena that weren’t on the radar in the past. The traditional focus on powertrain NVH is spreading towards a wide focus on road noise, noise from e-drive systems, auxiliary systems and interior components. In combination with the continuous drive to higher energy efficiency, making car bodies lighter and therefore better noise transmitters, this ultimately complicates the engineering task. During this 2 day seminar, you’ll discover how to combine different methodologies to improve the NVH of electric vehicles, illustrated by application examples.

Filip Deblauwe Aditya Luktuke Tomáš Jánošík

Dr. Filip Deblauwe

Technical Manager EMEA for Test
Dr. Deblauwe holds a Bachelors’ degree from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL), Belgium as well as Master’s and Doctor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. His work at both universities was in the field of modal analysis. Dr. Brown and Dr. Allemang, two authorities in the field of modal analysis, were his PhD thesis advisors. Dr. Deblauwe is a world-renowned authority on test for over 30 years and has put topics like Modal Analysis, Sound Source Localization, Sound Quality, TPA etc. on the radar at many worldwide automotive companies. Amongst his many accomplishments, he has guided business development in the field of testing at Siemens as well as hold various managerial positions throughout his career.

Aditya Luktuke

Presales Consultant for Test in EMEA, based out of Leuven, Belgium
Aditya has been working in the field of testing for about 14 years, spread between ARAI and Siemens. ARAI is an Indian automotive homologation and research center. He has been involved in testing of different automotive and non-automotive systems with the target of solving their NVH issues. Of particular interest is his expertise in automotive NVH testing, which is a particular passion of his and spans across his entire career. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pune University and Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering from VIT University, Vellore, India.

Tomáš Jánošík

Sales manager for CEE – TechSim Engineering s.r.o.
Tomas has been working in the field of automotive and aerospace for about 9 years. He is a technical project leader for global companies such as Bosch, Porsche, Garrett. However, he is originally an engineering designer with a focus on aerodynamics and composites. He loves cycling, motorsports and all places with a delicious coffee.
