Why DigiTwin Was Created

What Is TechSim DigiTwin?

DigiTwin is a telematics unit with an integrated digital twin, installed directly in the vehicle. Its main features include:

  • Vehicle digital twin: models battery health and other components.
  • Predictive analytics: AI algorithms recommend optimal driving styles, predict failures, and manage vehicle performance.

DigiTwin provides a comprehensive view of vehicle health, enabling operators to make decisions based on data—not guesswork.


How DigiTwin Works in Practice

The unit collects operational data and compares it with the vehicle’s computational model. If deviations occur, it alerts operators to potential failures or inefficiencies. For example:

  • Battery health monitoring (SOH): detects scenarios accelerating degradation.
  • Mechanical failure prediction: using axle accelerometry data.
  • Driving style optimization: recommendations to reduce energy consumption.

The result? Longer e-bus range, lower maintenance costs, and a smaller environmental footprint.
