Predictive maintenance and digital twin: we presented at the professional workshop of the Czech National Institute of Public Works and the National Council of the Environment 4.0

On June 10, 2025, we participated in the professional workshop "AI and advanced technologies in industrial production", organized by the Czech Society for Maintenance (ČSPÚ) in cooperation with the National Center for Industry 4.0. The event took place in the premises of the top experimental workplace RICAIP Testbed Prague at CIIRC CTU.

At the invitation of the Executive Director of the ČSPÚ, Ing. Jan Hroch, Ing. Petr Malaska spoke on behalf of our company with a presentation focused on the topic of digital twin in the context of predictive maintenance.

In the presentation, we showed how a digital twin can bring real value in the management of production facilities and machinery - not only through data collection, but mainly thanks to their effective analysis, visualization and use for decision-making.

Transition from data to real information

With the increasing level of automation in industry, the volume of data available to us is also increasing. But data itself is not a value if it is not processed in a clear way and passed on to the right person at the right time.

That is why we are developing a smart telematics unit with a digital twin, which is capable of monitoring the status of the equipment in real time, recording key operating parameters and evaluating trends leading to failure prediction.

The basis of this approach is not only high-quality sensors and computational logic, but also a clear and intuitive dashboard that allows the user to quickly understand what is happening with the given equipment - without having to go through hundreds of lines of raw data.

We believe that digital transformation has enormous potential in the area of maintenance: instead of reactive interventions at the last minute, we can use predictive algorithms and visualization to plan interventions in advance, extend the life of the equipment and reduce costs.

Discussion and exchange of experiences

The workshop was a great opportunity to share experiences, show specific applications and discuss with representatives of industry, academia and public institutions the challenges that modern maintenance brings.

The program also included a tour of the RICAIP experimental workplaces and demonstrations of technologies used for diagnostics, repairs, remote monitoring and other areas of so-called smart maintenance.

The future is in prediction and comprehensibility

Our vision is to contribute to the digital twin becoming not just a fashionable term, but a real tool for effective maintenance management and operation optimization.

We thank the organizers for the invitation and all participants for the inspiring discussions. We are pleased to have been able to be part of this professional event and present our solution, which can be a bridge between data and truly informed decision-making in the Czech industry.
